Privacy Policy
Your trust is everything to us. Here’s how we protect your privacy.

"Where does my data actually go?"
It’s a question we’ve all asked ourselves while filling out an online form. You type in your name, your address, maybe even your Aadhaar number, and hit "submit." In that moment, your personal information travels across the internet to a server somewhere you’ve never seen. Who has access to it? How is it stored? Will it be sold to telemarketers who will suddenly start calling you about a "limited-time offer" on a new credit card?
We get it. These fears are real and completely valid. In a world where data breaches are common, trusting a website with your personal details feels like a leap of faith. This is especially true when it comes to formal documents, which often contain some of the most sensitive information about our lives. That anxiety was the starting point for building ReadyForm India. We asked ourselves a different question: "What if we didn't have to take that leap of faith? What if the data never had to leave your computer in the first place?" This privacy policy isn't just a compliance requirement for us; it’s the explanation of how we answered that question. It’s the blueprint of the trust we want to build with you.
Our Core Privacy Promise
1. Information We Collect (and What We Deliberately Don’t)
Our philosophy is "data minimization." We only collect what is absolutely necessary to make our service functional and to improve it. We've divided our data collection into two clear categories: information you give us, and information we collect automatically.
a) Data You Provide to Us
- Account Information (Future Feature): When we introduce user accounts, you will be able to sign up with an email address and a password. We will store this to allow you to log in and (in the future) save your drafting progress. Your password will always be stored in a securely encrypted (hashed) format.
- Contact Information: If you contact us for support or with a query via our contact form or email, we will naturally have your email address and any other information you choose to provide in your message. We only use this to respond to your specific request.
- Payment Information (Future Feature): For future premium or subscription services, we will use a trusted, third-party payment gateway (like Razorpay or Stripe). Your credit card details are sent directly to them over a secure, encrypted channel. ReadyForm India’s servers will never see or store your full card number, ensuring compliance with the highest security standards.
What We Deliberately Do NOT Collect
This is the most critical part of our policy. The content of your documents—your name, address, father's name, contract terms, witness details, or any other personal data you enter into a form—is **never transmitted to us**. This information remains on your device and is used by the JavaScript in your browser to generate the document preview live on your screen. When you click "Download PDF" or "Print," the document is created right there on your machine. We cannot access it, we don't back it up, and we can't recover it for you if you close your browser.
b) Data We Collect Automatically (Anonymous Analytics)
To understand how our website is used and where we can improve, we collect anonymous, aggregated usage data. This includes:
- General Usage Information: We track which pages are visited most often, which document templates are most popular, and how users navigate through the site.
- Technical Information: We may note the type of browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) and device (e.g., mobile, desktop) being used. This helps us ensure our site works correctly for everyone.
This data is completely anonymous and cannot be tied back to you as an individual. We can see that 100 people generated a Rental Agreement yesterday, but we have zero knowledge of who those people are or what was in their agreements.
2. How We Use and Share Your Information
This part is simple: we don't share or sell your personal information.
- Your Account and Contact Information is used strictly for internal purposes: to provide customer support, to notify you of critical updates to our services or policies, and to manage your subscription (in the future).
- Your Anonymous Usage Data is used only to analyze our website's performance, identify bugs, and decide which new features or document templates to build next.
We are not in the business of selling data. Our business model is, and will always be, based on providing a valuable service directly to you. We will not share your information with third-party advertisers or data brokers. The only exception would be if we are required to do so by Indian law under a formal directive, a scenario we would handle with the utmost seriousness and transparency permitted by law.
3. Our Security Measures: Privacy by Design
Our security model is proactive, not reactive. We've adopted a "Privacy by Design" approach, meaning we built the entire platform with your privacy as a foundational principle. As laid out in India’s Information Technology Act, 2000, organizations have a duty to protect sensitive personal data. Our approach exceeds this standard.
Client-Side Processing
The most powerful security feature we have is that your sensitive data never reaches us. By processing everything in your browser, we eliminate the primary risk of a server-side data breach affecting your document's contents.
No Permanent Storage
Because we don’t store the data you enter, there is no database of personal details for anyone to steal. Once you close your browser tab, the information is gone. This is why it's important to download and save your generated PDF.
4. Your Rights and Choices
We respect your rights over your data. Inspired by global standards like GDPR and in accordance with Indian law, here are the choices you have:
- Right to Access & Correct: If you create an account, you will have access to your profile to view and correct your information (e.g., update your email address).
- Right to Erasure ('Right to be forgotten'): You will have the right to delete your account at any time. This action will permanently remove your account information (email, etc.) from our systems.
- Managing Consent: The use of our website constitutes consent to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using the service. You can clear cookies from your browser settings at any time to remove tracking data related to analytics.
5. Policy Updates and Contact Information
The digital world is always evolving, and so are privacy laws. We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for regulatory reasons. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
If you have any questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy, please do not hesitate to contact us.
